Influence at Work Website Redesign

Change that Sticks – applying the psychology of persuasion to sell ideas, change minds, and influence behaviour for sustained impact.

The Challenge

Influence at Work’s previous website wasn’t working for them. It did very little to convey their expertise and even less to convert interest into enquiries.

The brief that followed was an unusual one, in the best possible way. Here was a client who understands persuasion more deeply than most agencies ever will, which meant every design decision would have to stand up to their own professional scrutiny. The site could not simply look like the work of experts. It had to be built on the same principles they teach.

The Solution

We took a research-based approach throughout, grounding each recommendation in evidence rather than preference.

That began with UI research drawn from reading pattern studies. We mapped how people genuinely scan a page rather than how we might like them to, then positioned headlines, calls to action and key proof points where the eye naturally settles. Nothing sits where it does simply because it looks tidy.

Colour followed the same logic. Influence at Work already had an established set of brand guidelines, so rather than start again, we built a colour theory rationale for using what they had far more effectively, reserving accent colour for the actions we wanted people to take and letting supporting tones carry hierarchy without competing for attention. We advised that the website’s copy was to be written in first person, giving the site a formal, authoritative tone that lets the team speak plainly as the experts they are.

The home page is where it all comes together. We designed it as a narrative, guiding the user from a single opening statement through the problems they recognise, into the solutions on offer and finally to social proof – each section earning the scroll to the next and every route leading back to getting in touch. An animated video header opens the story, giving the page immediate movement and personality that the old site had never had.

The Conclusion

The result is a website that is leaps and bounds beyond what came before: memorable, unmistakably theirs and built to turn attention into conversation. Influence at Work now have a digital presence that reflects the standing of the team behind it and a home page that works as hard as their own methodology suggests it should.
